Wood Blocks Painting

Hi folks, I'm researching practical methods for painting wood blocks, specially the small ones, 2 to 3 mm.
Any suggestions ?

I plan to put them on a thread and then airspray those blocks for my Belem. Thread act as a support. Just put the thread between to dowel, like a clpthlines.

Thanks Michel, I used this method, it's quite laborious but gives a good result. I'll try some tests with immersion painting, let's see ... !

Hi Luiz, try the shoe cleaning cream

ı immerse them into a ready made wood colored stain or already colored furniture varnish.In that way the pattern of the wood is not covered.By this kind of application sometimes you have to workout the holes of the blocks after drying with a drill.

Or you have to blow into the holes of the blocks before drying of the varnish

I think that immersion in dilute acrylic paint could works, just find the correct dilution ratio for optimal result and non plugging the hole.

I usually stain the blocks with dark walnut Danish Oil instead of paint them, so the holes won't clog and the wood grain shows a bit. If you want black blocks, dry black wood stain. They don't appear painted then. Choose whatever method looks best for you, and is easiest depending on the materials you have on hand.

I never tried, but I think so....
The result will depend on the wood the blocks were made. If the wood is light in colour there should be no problem.
If the blocks are dark it is maybe problematic

I forgot these solution. You are bright Uwe. This is the more useful solution and easier.
