Wood ID

you can see the capilars (every light colour dott) - I know this mainly from bamboo
definitely a very fast growing wood (I guess)

not Walnut from the side it looks like some sort of plywood with a thin veneer over a partical board.

if it is a plywood then it most likely is

Lauan, Meranti, Yellow mahogany

it is very common in inexpensive kits for doll houses and any hobby kit that uses plywood.

Red oak has large canals like that, but has a different color. Since it comes from Italy, that may help you narrow down the possible hardwoods. It has the open surface grain of mahogany. Whatever it is, it's probably not an expensive wood and rather common, since it's in a kit.

Hi if you can get a clearer photo of it. you can use Google to identify it. on the search bat click the camera icon at the righthand side, select the photo and it will show you several options.
