Hi All.
Just thought I'd share a little project I've been working on. I never could bring myself to buy an expensive jig so
I used to use a slotted board with various wood blocks to support the frame/hull during construction.
It, at times was problematic.
I came up with this construction jig idea, by using a solid base with fixed and sliding 90-degree molding strips.
The moving side is fastened with thumbscrews for tension adjustment. I also use tongue depressors cut in half when needed to fit up in-between frames.
As this is still a WIP, I plan to add tilt feet screws to the bottom of the base for more versatile positioning.
Additionally, I will fashion a foam cover to fit over the rail, to cushion the completed hull at that stage of Constuction.
So far so good.......
