Recent posts (mine included) about “lurkers” on the forum have mentioned that the high cost of kits might discourage more active participation. The publishers of WoodenBoat Magazine offer a line of Model Boat kits. Almost all are priced at less than $100. Prices start at around $50. Subjects are American small craft. One kit priced at just under $100 builds a Skipjack. Look up WoodenBoat Store and Then Models with their search function.
I HAVE NOT purchased or built a model from one of these kits.
