Work area (AKA Dry Dock LOL)

I usually purchase a ship model just before I finish a ship model so as to keep the momentum going. I have one unbuilt boxed kit on my shelf because I thought I needed a change from ship models. WRONG MOVE. I'll get to that shelf model some day. :)
Corsair... Clamp On!

I build most of my models on the kitchen table. That way I can interact with my wife and also watch TV.

OK.. so now I am officially JEALOUS!!!! ROTFROTFROTFROTF

I miss my shed I had for modeling. I put up a 20 x 20 Shed in my old home. Had it professionally wired and insulated. Had even ran a water pipe out to a garden faucet/sink for washing plastic before building kits.

Ahhhh... I so miss it. Had to down size when I moved. Someday I'll get my setup back when I finally can move to my own place.

Such an intriguing photo. A hint of old tech with labels like ‘gain’ and ‘camera’ with sewing thread and a box labelled ‘awl & all’ - a hint of bookbinding perhaps. Front and centre an Apple which may well be a Mac Air, perhaps hinting of travel.

And of course a row of clamps awaiting their next job.

I rediscovered my workbench top about 36 hours ago, makes me want to go and take a snap and see what the surrounding background shows.

More on my list than will happen in my lifetime, for sure. Not all are ship related - we call those ‘diversions’

The idea of model builders building ship models in nice spacious work areas surrounded by fancy tools is not always the case. The only power tool in my build space is a Dremel tool. That piece of glass i work on is 10 x 30 inches.
