The sloop rigged Kathleen was built as a pleasure boat in San Francisco in 1903 and sailed that area for many years. She is now part of the Maritime National Historic Park in San Franciso. Lines were taken off during a rebuild and detailed plans are available at the website www.loc.gov/item/ca3967/. I scratch built my model from these plans by the plank on bulkhead method with cherry planking and birch plywood decking. The scale is 1/40. I was also helped by photos of the Kathleen provided by the Park. Photos of the model, of the Kathleen, and the story of her history are attached below.
