Hello
Was wondering if anyone who has already done this model might have a list of how many, and of what size, deadeyes blocks and other rigging items are required to complete this ship. I purchased the kit and am excited to start but wasn't impressed with the quality or quantity of these parts. Figured I wasn't the only one either. Maybe someone has bought upgrades in the past. Thanks in advance for any help

also from my side a warm welcome here on board of our forum

If you did not start until now, you will have a lot of time to get aftermarket blocks and ropes

In principle the best quality you can find here from DryDock

I am pretty sure, that you will get all information necessary from our members - best is to start a building log and we all will help and assist to solve this and any other problem or tasks

Generally, the existing blocks in your kit will guide you to numbers for each size. As a rule of thumb, I would err to scale one size down from whatever the kit block dimensions are, for each block size. The DryDock blocks really are impressive, so you won’t be disappointed.

Thanks to all for the replies! No doubt where any rigging will come from. The DryDock stuff looks amazing. I am trying to get everything together even tho I'm likely years from actually needing any rigging.ahaha. if the parts included in the kit are indeed the blocks they are barely recognizable as such. Especially when everything else in it looks so nice. I guess the smart thing to do is hold off until I get closer to the stage when I need um. Thanks for the welcome. Great group you have here

You can use this

It's a bit of a wade to get through but so far I've found everything I need here. Rope sizes, block sizes and species. The link just goes to the first page of the (about) 300 ton 16 gun sloop. If you look through the pages you can find a ship of your type. I printed out the pages I need and they are the most dog eared paper in my shop. It's a little blurry but you can get by. Here is a link to the contents page

Oh, I'm an idiot, this is English Navy stuff. I just noticed you're interested in the San Felipe. Maybe this won't help much but since I went to all the typing I'll leave it here. It may help somebody.
