Hi all

I am not an expert to discuss about "quality" like "wood quality". So I will post pictures of all the content. You can zoom them and be your own judges.

This kit details can be found at the seller website:

Kit come in 2 heavy boxes (20 pounds ~ 10 kg). I paid around $550 shipped to Massachusetts, USA (kit + shipping costs). Since I ordered, it took 3 days to be shipped and another 4 days to land at my door. Incredible fast. Remember that come from China.

Ok... let see those pictures.

I will post ~ 6 pictures per posting. So wait to comment/post until I let you know I have finished.

Yup - that's what I got - great pictures. By the way - the box containing the metal fittings is really heavy. That means the final ship model will be really heavy aft - so plan accordingly. I'm wondering if it will be safe sitting on my long glass shelf in my display case!

Many thanks for the kit overview. I am agree with Y.T. it is looks like a very good kit to build a model from. An timber is hight grade, also, i saw the instruction is on English as well...nice touch! ;)

Jimsky, it was a pleasure.

As I wrote in my introduction at SOS I decided to return to the hobby because I will have time for it at my retirement. So I look for forums. I found SOS and MSW. And I subscribed to both.

At that time, just 1 month ago, I read the issue MSW have with Chinese kits. So I decided to post in a forum that was providing freedom to the hobby and started The Red Dragon built at SOS.

Today I knew that my decision of chosing SOS was the correct one.

I was notified by a MSW member that I was BANNED from MSW "because I posted this review at SOS".

I am not worried at all and does not affect me.

I hope this posting serves to whom was thinking about this kit.

I decided to buy Chinese kits after reading their build logs at this forum and seeing their quality. SOS helped me in my selection of kits. Posting this review was a pleasure.

Cheers
Daniel

Thanks for the great pictures of the kit. I have been interested in seeing it. I sure does look like an original design to me. The quality of the material also appears first rate. Not sure what all the fuss is about over at MSW? Oh well. Sail on.
