A friend of mine, and also a member of our forum Sergey @bibigon has a very nice selection of Pear\Castello\Hornmeam (black Grab). His timber of exceptional quality and he can mill strip as per custom sizes in mm, very precise (as you mentioned), He has excellent customer service, PM him with details, He lives in Russia.
We have many members already use his service both in Europe and the USA\Cannada
Lumberyard are selling Pearwood and also American Boxwood (or Costelo, Costello, Honduras Boxwood etc.) which is very different from the European Boxwood). They supply strips not only of these two types but lots of others as well.

Yes, that name is right. Dave said at some stage that there are about 160 different species (and names) of American Boxwood, and the West Indian is one of them. In my opinion American Boxwood is second after European Boxwood and then comes Pear. Unfortunately there are big problems with the European BW, a thorough infection in the main growing area. Some say that this is the end of European Boxwood as we know it.I couldn't find dose names at the Lumberyard.... so I ordered wha they have under the name: West Indian Boxwood...
That must be coming from some defamation group of people ,look at at my Ontario build in my signature area, all the wood came from the Lumberyard,or look at Donnie’s Blandford cross section build ,wood from the Lumberyard,do not believe all the Bs you read online, there are countless people on this forum using Lumberyard woodI’ve heard there are quality problems with wood purchased from the lumberyard, though admittedly I haven’t purchased any myself.

Dave is the timber supplier for many SOS members including myself. He has a wide range of wood and offers a variety of species in different cuts like billets so you can resaw on your on, or ready to use strips.
