HMS Alert 1/72 scale from Shipyard

I have the belay pin rails installed on the 1/72 HMS Alert. I see no belay pins on this model, except for the mast. I have sets of belay pins that would fit after drilling out the rails for them. Would it be accurate to do so? Even if not actually used, they would seem to be of good use in repelling boarding parties.
On the Constitution, the gun carriages are secured to the bulk heads, but not so on this model. I used copper eye bolts, made at the desk, to secure those guns, but the eye bolts were glued into the hull. There does not seem to be enough material on the hull to do so on the Alert. Does anyone have any suggestions, as securing the guns to the bulk heads would seem to be more realistic.

I use Aleens Tacky Glue. You can also use cyano glue but just for metal parts Or rigging. Using Alleens now for the Shipyard HMS Wolfe. Used to use Elmers Glue, but this works better.
Could be a different format either. Most likely .jpg or .jpeg or .gif . All those ate supported formats on SOS. Just drag the image and drop it in the area in your log, That's it!!!
Not computer savvy, but just figured out how to edit photos. I enlarged the photos and tried to email them to SOS, 11320 Titanic. No luck.

Gun carriages are done, ready to mount the barrels. Does anyone have any suggestions for securing the carriages to the bulkheads? This model looks incomplete with out the guns secured.
Om my Constitution, I made eye bolts from copper wire and rigged the carriages to those. But that hull was thick enough to glue the eye bolts into. I have my doubts to the Alert hull.

As you have mentioned in your post, you can secure guns by gluing them into the deck, also for the overall appearance, you can 'breech' them to the bulwark.

I did an oops...one pic is in Alert, and the other two are in Constitution.
I also have to figure out how to make them thumb nails so they don't take up so much space.

Has anyone built the gun carriages for the 1/72 scale Shipyard HMS Alert? I am finishing the carriages up now, and the photos do not show the placement and alignment for parts 161h and 161 g.

What do you suggest to blacken brass guns and other parts? Would gun blueing from a gun shop be acceptable for those barrels?
Will Aleene's Tacky Glue hold brass gun mounts to the carriages? Or CA, and does CA mar the paper carriages?

OK, having a problem with the main mast on the HMS Alert. I have the wooden dowels, and the instructions(?) but no where does it give the length of the mast or the bowsprit. Also find the directions a bit confusing, and the photos do not really help.

Uwe good afternoon. This is exactly what I had in mind

No, that drawing was not in my kit. I wish it were.
These are good kits. Being the first paper kit for myself, I learned the hard way how easy it is to bend paper and card stock, and that more care needs to be in handling them compared to wood and plastic.
The first has come along ok, but could have been better. I plan on doing another Alert, making use of lessons learned doing this one.
