Following the discovery of HMS Terror in 2016, a new book will be published this month.

The author Mr Betts built an accurately researched model of HMS Terror, so this book should be a most interesting read for anyone wishing to build a model or just interested in the ship itself.

It seems that the Mathew Betts book on HMS Terror is delayed. My Amazon order is on hold with a note that I will be notified when it is available. I placed an order directly with the publisher, which was more expensive and was advised that there was no delivery date available due to illness.

Hugendubel reports as a new release date at the end of April 2022. Does anyone have better information?

Hi there
I have bought the book for Kindle about a few weeks ago. Personally I think the Kindle version will be more useful to me at least than the printed version. I am building HMS Terror based on the Occre kit but I am drastically modifying the whole model so that it will be a cutaway version showing all the decks and internal fittings, cabins etc. The only slight downside with the Kindle version is that the drawings are not very high resolution and so if expanded for viewing or printing, are not hugely clear. However, that being said there are some very usefull drawings showing cabins and deck beams layout. It also shows a plans for the actual ship and the model Mathew built plus a some commnets about how the Occre model could be slightly enhanced and how the BBC HMS Terror was constructed. The printed version is perhaps a bit pricey. Also would also strongly suggest that the Kindle version of the book is used on a computer uisng the Kindle app rather than on an actual Kindle reader - the latter being very slow.
