I am starting to refurbish my academy titanic starting with replacing the bow railings I will also be showing the before and after.

That one step alone make a huge difference. Good luck with the refit.

Your PE upgrade is looking great and enhances the model. I wish to do the same to a 1950s Revell kit, Doctor Lykes, a C-3 Freighter that is a close match to Hawaiian Pilot. How did you remove the original plastic rails, smooth the remainder and attach the PE? Mistakes are easy! Thank you in advance. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and holiday season.

Just those small changes have made a huge difference to the forecastle area.

I have finished the forecastle and well deck and started on the railings around the first funnel.

Not been around lately but wit a few hours to kill I have made a bit more progress this time I have replaced the railings on the first class lounge roof.
And I will be replacing the compass tower
