Hello all
I have acquired a beautifully made model of the A L kit Cutty Sark”, and I would like a cabinet for it. However I have been unsuccessful with my search. Two manufacturers said it was too big, but surely there are plenty of model ships made this size-110cm x 46cm x 76cm are the dimensions needed for the case.
Any idea, folks?
Thanks in advance

Hope that some members can give advise here

My father’s model had a custom case that had become irreversibly damage due to storage in a damp basement. I considered building a new case, but I wanted it to be period correct with our antiques and my father’s 83 year old model. I found a nice, antique store display case that works perfectly, (facebook marketplace). It cost less than a dedicates display case and I like the style. Now I just have to repair the rigging.

Sorry, I did not go up to the Top. Here in Spàin, there are at least two companies 1Model Reyna n Madrid- apart from many carpenter shops.
My Norske love builds in Denmark but was set into a Glasmonter by a Carpenter locally. it lasted 45 Years. It survived the trip in a Lorry from Denmark to Madrid Spain, but finally, it gave up last Year

It's not as difficult as you would think. See the latter part of my build log for HMS Snake.

I have always built my own case using plexiglass, wood and a bit of brass. I'm not a finish type carpenter so the case is not the focus of my builds. But it works for me.

N, another option is to go to a plastics shop in your area that supplies display cases for stores. Here in London Ontario Parker Plastics made me a plexiglas case for my Amati Bounty (36x30x12 inches) . It is not inexpensive as I paid $250 for it; however it is a very professional result. I made the base myself. Being plexiglas I do not have to worry about it breaking. Hope this helps.

I got a local glazier to cut 5 sheets of glass and assembled my own cabinet (for my 1/64 HMS Fly) using Occre display case profiles (to which i applied a stain). The resulting case was to my satisfaction and i will do the same thing again for my current build, when the time comes, although i may use perspex/ plexiglass instead of standard glass the next time.
