My very oul version of AtuoSketch 9, is steadily deteriorating. I am looking for a reasonable replacement. Not necessarily 3D, but I might consider 3D if not too complicated or pricey.

you can look into Turbocad
And like Fusion 360, TurboCAD also has a learning curve. After using AutoCAD for so many years. But in a effort to save money I bought TurboCAD for layout, not for their 3D. Here is the same cabinet I designed and rendered in Fusion 360 drawn in TurboCAD. In addition to modelship building, I do woodworking....FB_IMG_1666099985471.jpg

Try Onshape...it is from the original designers of Solid Works. It is free and cloud based...The learning curve is more shallow than F360 (I use both) the down side (if you want to call it that. Personally, I dont care) as in F360 is all documents are for public access, meaning anyone can view it.

Thank you, I'll check into Onshape and others. I am not in a hurry, but it is frustrating to have great difficulty just trying to download something. My head is still going in circles about choices, but these sounds good. I'm still trying to get hold of Fusion 360 for hobbyists, but no luck downloading, so far.
I appreciate all these kind responses.
