On the rigging stage of my Victory /Amati HM Granado. In the kit are various sizes of cotton but I have no clue to what size they are I have previously built Occre models and the size of thread/cotton are on the spool. Has anybody come up against this problem HELP !!!!!!!

Hi Sutty,
Wrap the rope around a dowel - maybe ten or twenty times - so that the wraps are snug up against each other but not compressed - then measure the length (width) of the wrapping and divide by the number of wraps. This will give you the diameter of the rope. Viola!
