Just a magnificant event a Solar eclipse, nature at its best. We here in Europe have to wait another two years when there will be one on Spain. Looking forward to that.

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. Fortunately for me all I had to do was go on my deck in the backyard. It was surreal.

Tell your lad that's a great photo. I always wonder what they must have thought of this in prehistoric times and how they interpreted it - a good or bad omen?

That looks like the flaming cannon ball about to smack you dead center in the ship!

It was truly spectacular. My wife and I sat in the back yard with drinks in hand to watch the entire eclipse. For us, it was total black out of the sun for a few minutes with no ring of light emulating from it. For the rest of the time it looked like different versions of Pac Man.
