Nice start!
Just a small note, the anchors are assembled a bit differently in your picture than was done in reality. The way you have them, they would not be able to grab hold in the sea bottom. The stocks should be turned 90 degrees. If the stock is not already glued, it should be easy to fix.

Thank you. I will definitely fix this. I was thinking to buy steel ones, it would look much better.

Not really necessary if you don't want to. If you really want metal ones, I would go with brass. The one rigged on the model in the photo above is wood painted black. I have used both cast metal and wood and cannot tell the difference when they are complete.

If your ship is the Halcon of 1840 the anchor stocks in my post above may be wrong. I just did a little research on the schooner Halcon and anchors in general and found some interesting information. This admiralty pattern anchor, or “fisherman anchor " design remained unchanged for centuries, but there was an overall move from wood stocks to iron stocks starting in the late 1830s and early 1840s. This style can be seen in the photo I found on line which I am pretty sure was taken on Water Street about a block from pier 17 at South Street Seaport in Manhattan.

The hull sanded down much better than I thought it would.

Good morning Gasper. I love your display case and base....very original. Nice job on your first model ship.....looking forward to your next one. Cheers Grant
Hello Grant. Thanks for your comment. I’m trying to do my best. It’s my first build so I’m trying very hard to make it look good . I am already looking for next build and I’m looking for little bigger project, like h.m.s. Victory or something little smaller but more detailed. I will let you all know what it would be. Best regards Gašper.

Wow that is amazing. Thank you allot for this. I already fix it. It was easy fix, just cut and glue it together and it looks great . In set was cut in one piece so I just glued together and not looking for how it must be. Thanks again. Here’s a picture of my fix.

Wow, do you make model train scenarios?
No this is my first build. I never had any support from my family and now I have to prove myself that I can build something special. I started with this kit from Ali express and it was going well so I started with details on ship. Then I started to wonder about dust and how it would be displayed. I didn’t like the original stand so I just started to building the new stand, adding more and more pieces and now it’s looks like this. So everything is first build.
