different manufactures have their own designs. BTW, if you don't make your own rope, there are few places I suggested an excellent quality. Thanks Jim
I have 2mm blocks from Zoltan on their way to me as we speak so will try them.
Still surprised by Syren's response. I would have though 2mm blocks would be a big seller and a model like Victory requires hundreds of blocks...
Hi all, one question, occre and modelship says have single blocks with only one hole but dry dock for the same name: single block have two holes (one above the other). i would like to improve my santisima trinidad project and I’m puzzled if it’s really the same?Yes there are but it depends on if you are looking for best quality or best price. Look at blocks from Syren and Dry Dock then look at blocks from others and then decide. Quality blocks like these two in particular are not cheap but they look great. Compare all prices, even between these two suppliers, as there are big differences. One consideration is that there are not very many sizes from any supplier, but at our scales this probably is not a problem for most builders.
Comparison below. These pictures are from their websites if you want to compare more closely. Look at these and blocks in photos of contemporary models then decide what suits you best

You often can't see the second hole when the line is rove through the first hole, but sometimes you can depending the angle of the line as it leaves the block. You really want the two-hole blocks. One hole blocks look cheap. I ever use sharp edged kit provided blocks anymore and replace them with properly shaped ones because it does improve the overall appearance of your model. You are the judge as to whether or not it is worth the extra cost.Hi all, one question, occre and modelship says have single blocks with only one hole but dry dock for the same name: single block have two holes (one above the other). i would like to improve my santisima trinidad project and I’m puzzled if it’s really the same?
