Looking to purchase Caldercraft HMS Victory

Not sure if this helps but it is on "sale" here:

Hi Gilbert,

Its a great kit, I'm currently building it.

Its on Black friday sale, cheapest ive seen for this kit.

Shipment to France or to the US.
Now THAT is a spread of kilometers/miles :) While waiting for your shipment, as you are a Victory fan, if you have not already seen this, you might enjoy the log written just before, during, and after Trafalgar which is posted here at SoS. https://shipsofscale.com/sosforums/threads/the-battle-of-trafalgar-original-ships-log.15676/ I am going to be posting letters from Admiral Collingwood to the Admiralty regarding Nelson and the battle as well.

I would like to purchase Caldercraft HMS Victory Kit.
Shipment to France or to the US.

Bon jour, Gilbert, I recommend Cornwall Model Boats for the best price. By paying £10 for membership of CMB club, you get extra 5% discount on all orders. They're out of stock at present, but no doubt they'll be getting more soon. They'll probably order for you. Present listed price is £980, Club price, which I paid, is £931.
I bought mine in April & laid her keel on Nov. 11.

Let me see this option as well.
I am going to be traveling in a few weeks and would hate to have the box wait for me outside of my house.
So I'll probably place an order in early Jan.
Cheers

Hi Gilbert,

There are a number of excellent build logs on this and other forums for the Caldercraft Victory. It is a wonderful kit and will provide many months (years??) of building pleasure. I am currently coppering my build (but have had a period away with work and travel) so progress is slow, but feel free to read my log.

A couple of the background books on the Victory are a good investment and the book by Keith Julier (The New Period Ship Handbook), is especially useful as it deals with this kit.

It is not a cheap kit, but when you are building you will see the quality of the materials and manuals. I have found excellent support from Jotika too, and I am in Australia!! Good luck and I am sure you will enjoy this build.

Regards,
PeterG

I'll definitely go thru your build log in detail.
I plan to start this project in early 2025, as soon as I have completed the Amerigo Vespucci
Cheers

Bonjour Gilbert
If you do not already have a copy, seriously consider getting a copy (used copies are usually available) of Longridge's The Anatomy of Nelson's Ships. He provides a lot of details for building a model of Victory that could be of help to you.

When I was looking for a first model ship kit to learn, the Caldercraft HMS Victory was one I wanted to build, but I felt it was way beyond my abilities, so I chose a less complex model to learn on, La Couronne from 1636.

Now I'm stuck in the 17th century and can't get out . . . :D

Gilbert,
I just spent time reviewing the linked videos and at the very last one came to learn that G Kip passed away four months ago.
Thus unfortunately, we'll never see the completion of this amazing build.
May God rest his soul in eternal light.
