So...for my birthday today I received this as a gift from my daughter. Lots and lots of itty bitty metal etched parts to be apparently bent to shape and fitted. I'll post some pictures soon. Has anyone of you done one of these? Also note - it says 3D metal puzzle! Well it should be fun huh?!20250502_160728.jpg

Not metal, but I have done a 3D puzzle before that was a castle from Germany. I definitely found it more tricky than a 2D puzzle, but it was a lot of fun. I didn't have to bend any puzzle pieces though. That would certainly add another level of complexity

I did the Golden Hind by Metal Earth.
Probably not as involved as yours is, but it was fun. :)
Here it is in my cabinet with some of my other "metal models"
Sheesh. I guess I need to clean the glass. ROTF

I did the Queen Ann's Revenge after the Admiral bought it for my Christmas gift. Hope you have a good magnifying glass or a visor. Some of the parts are very small and they need to be bent or folded.

Really enjoyed doing it and was looking to do some more metal models when I decided to buy my first wooden ship which I have almost finished.

Enjoy the build.20250219_110922.jpg20250110_150830.jpg

I have some awesome magnifiers. And a bending form (brake). Its going to be interesting....!

You will also want some very pointy needle nose pliers. You have to put the metal tab through a slot and twist the tab to keep it in place. There was no glue used on any of the ones I've completed (about 10 or so different models).
You will also want rods of different diameters to shape curved things around. I used various handles and some pill bottles for example.
