Cheers alan big helpHi John,
Lower shrouds were looped around the top of the mast pretty much the same way on all ships. The number and size of the rope varied for each era and ship size, but the methodology was the same. The starboard fore pair goes on first, then the port forward most pair, then then next pair starboard, etc. etc. The following are from The Anatomy of the Ship by C. Nepean Longridge for the HMS Victory, but the concept should be pretty clear. Before the shrouds go on, the pendants go on. You can see the forestay and fore preventer stay going over top the shrouds in the first drawing as well. Note that the bight where it goes around the mast head is served several feet either side of the middle. It was about 8 feet on Voctory but no doubt less on smaller ships. Hope this helps.

Yeah i had noticed but dont fancy stripping it down as they are a bit flimsy

I followed that exact plan on the same model. Here goes. I used Syren models rope seizing tool to make the loops. It was time consuming but I was very happy with the result.Hi John,
