A few more guns and a bit more framing it is a bit rough looking but a light sanding should improve it and it will not be visible after the deck planking is on

When I assembled the capstan there was a part missing so I made it out of some scrap it has now come back to bite me the capstan is to tall
The options seem to be remove the capstan and correct it or just cut a hole to clear it in the base of the top capstan base I am inclined to the latter

Finished the quarterdeck framing needs a lot of sanding so I decided to assemble the binnacle to give me guide for the supports spacing but something is badly amiss any suggestions would be welcomed

A bit of sanding and fitted the decks and a few filler parts
the laser cut side side planking is a bit of a problem as it stands much higher than the external planking so i don't know if the best option is to build up the external or sand down the internal planking

I ordered the Pandora for one of our club members in FL... I was entrusted with a rather sizable amount of money to pick some unique kits .I chose the Royal Caroline in 1/50, the Pandora and the Zebec... The Pandora , primarily to aid some of our members who were uncomfortable with bow and stern work. So there is a niche for these hybrids

Hi Roger
Hope the following is a bit of help. The binnacle sat on top of the deck planks, often without additional support such as beams. As it sat on the QD there would not be any carlings or ledges. It was held down and in place with ropes tied to eyes anchored in the deck planking and removed when not at sea. If you look at the inboard profile of similar 24 gun ships of that era it would appear the binnacle actually lays between, or maybe touched above one beam. Interestingly, by an order from the Admiralty, the number of binnacles on a ship was reduced from three to two. Lavery comments that it is not clear where the extra ones were placed, possibly below as spares.

Fitted a few deck fittings but just got a stagecoach kit (Amati victory) so I am neglecting the ship for a bit i tend to hop from one thing to another it annoys the hell out of she who must be obeyed
