[I hope this is the right spot]

I found this kit, which I bought 40 years ago, in my attic. I forgot why I didn't build it, until I opened it up and looked at the paperwork and the parts. This model is a bit beyond my experience.

The entire instructions are a six page pamphlet to build the boat, one page on how to make the dories, and a one-page blueprint, scaled to 1/8" to the foot. With the model I found the sheets I made to help me with the rigging and the sails, as well as some of the bulwark and deck layout.

Once I get a few models under my belt I will tackle this baby.

Forty-year-old paints and stain. Curious if they are still useable.

Hi Ed. Thanks for making this post of a Bluenose from a manufacturer I did not know. I suppose it’s unique here on the SoS.
Hopefully this is the start of a build-log of the making of this beauty.
I did not have a BlueJacket Bluenose in the —> List of BN Build-logs <— and will ad it soon on that list.
Regards, Peter

Hi Peter,

Not sure when I will get to this, maybe over the winter. Still need a bit more experience to raise my comfort level. Plus, I need to clear my work bench of car parts so I can lay her out to work.

In my search for information on this particular model, I found nothing, except, I think, an old (10 years) video on YouTube. Bluejacket currently has a Bluenose for sale, but it an Amati kit.

Cheers
Ed
