Hello!

Glad to be here. This forum seems to be more active than the Facebook groups so I’m looking forward to the knowledge and wisdom from you guys as I set out on building a very fire 1:350 Missouri in measure 32.

I’ve dabbled with planes and some smaller waterline stuff in the past but moving around the world put a hold on progressing and I stumbled across this kit in my garage and decided the time was now to build it.

Decided to go all in, ordering the detail up set with resin and PE parts to try something new.

I’ll be starting the build thread once all the parts arrive (and I find the correct section!)

Welcome to the forums ! I'm up by Homosassa FL. There is a ship building club that meets in St. Petersburg on the 4th Tuesday of the month if you are close. :)
I look forward to seeing your project build.

Welcome aboard.
I live in Delray Beach, Palm Beach county. Are you anywhere near here?
It seems building ship models is not very popular in this part Florida. I know there are clubs on the west coast, unfortunately not much here

I’m actually here in the Tampa Bay Area! I was at Bear hobbies today by the airport and he mentioned this to me. I may have to check it out!

My build thread is now live, check it out!

I moved from the Tampa Bay area last year. I spent most of my life there. I had never heard of Bear Hobbies. I will have to check out the store next time I am in Tampa.

It’s a great little shop! Doesn’t quite compare to the hobby shops in Japan, but it was very close!

Super nice selection of paints, Tamiya, embrol, velajjo, resin and PE sets for various models, all the supplies anyone could need. Nice selection of planes, cars, tanks.

The ship selection was lacking, though. I did see a 1:350 Tamiya Yamato, new tooling though
