New kit from Occre 09/21/2025

Oops I mixed this string up with the recent shipyard Victory. When I said I had 499 that was for the Victory. Apologies.
Looked over the Soleil and was not impressed. Agreed on a lot of bling. Still think the De Agostini Soleil was one of the best. Hard to compete with it.
Shipyard Victory is a descent build.

it's limited probably but you don't see the counter...
Just Like Deagostini and their ship models
Ahoy,

It looks like a nice kit at first glance. It's funny that developers always seem to need 2 years to build a great model. Have they all agreed on the 2 years? The price of 1.489 € is quite expensive. That's just far too much for me!Exclamation-Mark

guess who will sell it later in a fancy case numbered and in limited edition ....?
"Meet USS Contellation in a limited edition of 799 pieces, the twin Sister of 6th frigates USS Constitution. The only one on the market! Special offer!"

I'll remind you about this in 5 years...

As much as I have liked a lot of Occre kits in the past the last few have been a bit of a let down and over priced like the Victory and now the Soleil Royal.
I have watched the video twice and have already spotted a few inaccuracies like belaying pins, I also wish occre would do something more positive detail wise with their sails as they are so generic with every kit, the detail or lack of detail is also compromised by the scale of the detail.

I've just finished my heavily improvised Heller Soleil Royal and much prefer to improvise on that than pay well over the money for the Occre one, I know what Occre are trying to do but they really need to do more research and take their time producing these type of kits, modellers want as accurate detail as possible even more so when you are trying to interpert a navy board style ship imho.
It's pretty obvious that this won't make it to group build status.
