Hi, I'm Clemens, 68, from Crete Greece and new here on SOS.
Some friends from an other Ships Building Forum are here and it is interesting to see and learn skills from this international forum.
At the moment I'm building the Batavia 1628, (From Kolderstok).
Later I will place some images on the state I'm in now.
Please excuse me for my poor English because from origin I'm from the Netherlands and living now 22 years in Greece.

Welcome Paptotalos.

Love your amusing choice of moniker.

I once enjoyed 2 super holidays in Crete, touring the west of that beautiful island on a motorcycle, up and down the goat tracks in the White Mountains.

Oh how I wish I could have retired there.
The Cretans are lovely folk.

Welcome aboard Clemens! I’m just today going to arrange a trip to Crete and anticipate going in Dec or Jan. I’m fascinated by the Minoan and Phoenician civilizations and their ancient shipbuilding techniques and plan to scratch build a Minoan/Phoenician ship in the near future. If you can post the locations of any maritime museums I would appreciate it.
