Greetings! My model is not a kit... handmade... no painting... natural wood colors... fabric sail...Wow! This is an exceptional build. You didn't mention a kit, so I assume this is scratch built. Such beautiful detail work. The colorization of the wood finish is amazing. Was the sail formed from wood also? I've never seen a sail modeled like this before. I also want to complement you on your photography skills. The lighting and picture framing artwork really complement your model to create a truly memorable presentation.
Well done sir!

Hello, and thank you for your rapid reply. You are truly a master builder. I am curious about your techniques, especially the sail. Could you share more information on the coatings and varnishes you used on the wood and what type of fabric and stains used to create your sails and how you formed the sail into its final shape. This humble student would like to learn. Thank you.Greetings! My model is not a kit... handmade... no painting... natural wood colors... fabric sail...

Hello... Let me start by saying I'm not a modeler and have no experience building models. I also don't have a workshop or power tools. Every single project is started from scratch... and as problems arise, I solve them in the simplest way possible. My materials are very simple... as are my solutions. On the "Building from Scratch or from Plans" page, I show the process of building my little ones. Where I present the Galleon... I'll show the full process. But in reality, everything is so simple and primitive that you probably won't like it...Hello, and thank you for your rapid reply. You are truly a master builder. Hello, I am astonished that you have no experience as a model builder. I will look on the building from scratch page to review your galleon build. I built modelers when I was a teenager and stopped for about four decades for life issues. I've been slowly getting back into model building over the last ten years since I retired. Simple is best for me so I'm sure I can learn a lot from you. And you are correct. You are not a model builder. You are an artist. Thanks.
