A model of a Galleon... thrown together on the knee...

Great looking model.
Great vintage finish.

Your great looking model does appear to be the Imai Golden Hind version. A few characteristic details point strongly in that direction:

The hull proportions and high forecastle/aftercastle match Imai’s interpretation of the Golden Hind.

The ornamental stern galleries and beakhead are very typical of Imai’s tooling from the 1970s–80s.

The deck layout and gunport spacing also align closely with the Imai kit rather than Airfix or Revell versions.

Many builders of the Imai kit intentionally apply a weathered or “museum” finish, because the base molding takes paint aging very well.
I also built this model but not as good as your.

Greetings!...Thank you for your kind words! This model is not from a kit...completely hand-built...assembled using two different plans...

There is apparently a translation problem with your post: Your wording "small, simple model...a souvenir for the shelf", "thrown together on the knee" should actually translate to "Professionally scratch built, scale detailed model worthy of any museum display". Well done, sir! I've not seen open grain wood used in a better manner in a model, giving it a real antique quality. Sails, rigging, everything, just excellent! I'd love to see any other models you've made!

Greetings! Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of models...so far, only three small souvenirs...I showed how to make them in the "Build from scratch or from plans" section...
