So...,you're going to scratch-build a model of HMS VICTORY and want your cannon carriages to be real wood. At a minimum, each carriage includes two brackets, two transoms, four wheels, a quoin base, and a quoin. At 100 guns, that adds up to 1000 pieces that may or may not be exactly the same when done by hand and require hours and hours of work. Or, you could have those pieces laser-cut... BlueJacket Shipcrafters offers custom laser services that would lessen the tedium of repetitive work and provide you with identical components. Just think of the possibilities – gratings, inclined ladders, window frames, paneled doors, etc. all created by folks who are familiar with ships and boats and model construction.

If youhave a project in mind that you'd like to discuss, drop me an email al@bluejacketinc.com .

You can get very creative with your model using laser-cut parts. You can create multiple levels of detail/relief like those in the drawing of the fore house, even adding clear plastic window panels to fit within the window frames. Depending on the size of the model, nibbed waterways, deck seams, and simulated trunnels are certainly possible.

Do you offer carriages for different calibers and different pattern guns' carriages? For example, the Pitt or Brown carriages have no resemblance to carriages for Armstrong cannon carriages. Also, do you offer them in a range of scales? Many thanks Al

This is all custom work and can be done at any normal modeling scale. I would draw up the parts to be lasered based on reference drawings and scale them accordingly.
