Hello, Jim Conacher.
The Silent Mary's blueprints were completed around 2018.
Starting from scratch with nothing, I managed to gather the necessary reference materials and created the blueprints based on them. Some details were clarified later, so the blueprints contain a few errors.
The Silent Mary is said to be a first-rate ship of the line with about 108 cannons, which would make it roughly the same size as the British Royal Navy's HMS Victory...
However, I couldn't find any official length specifications for the Silent Mary online. So, if I used the Victory's length for the Silent Mary and scaled it down to 1/72, it would end up over 140cm long...
I wanted to keep the model under 90cm somehow, so I arbitrarily set the Silent Mary's length to about 87-90m (hull length around 65-69m). Scaling it down to about 1/98 would make the model roughly 89cm. That seemed just the right size to me, so I decided to draw the plans at that scale.
I set the human figures to about 1/72 to 1/75 scale.
Maybe it's better to leave the scale indication unspecified.
Movie sets aren't always built to actual size, after all.
I've been working on it since 2018, with several interruptions along the way.
Combined, that's about two years of breaks.
Since I worked on it sporadically, it ended up taking about five years of total work time.
Jim Conacher, you should give it a try too.
Nowadays, since I drew the blueprints and a lot of reference material is available online, it might be a bit easier for you.

There were parts I didn't understand, and since I just couldn't figure them out, I built it as best I could. Later, I figured out the parts I didn't understand.
I didn't fix them, so if you look up the mistakes, you can see them.

Your craftsmanship is top-tier.
You'll surely complete a Silent Mary far more splendid than mine.

Thank you for pointing that out.
The Silent Mary is a Spanish galleon that appeared in the entertainment film
“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.”
The era is probably around the 17th century.
If so, it would be better to have a red X-shaped cross (Burgundy cross), wouldn't it?
But since I'm building the ship as it appeared in the movie, I'll leave it as is.

I'm satisfied that I managed to build this concept art's ship.

Hallo melpapa how are you. Im in progress of silent mary . But i struggle to understand the side of the ship where the cannons are. I have the basic plans of it like a full ship with the cannon windows from the side but im not sure if i can use it to make the side of the ship. I wonder maybe if you could mail me the original plans from the side of the ship if you have it.? It would help me a lot and thanx that you allowed me to use the rest.
