Hi!!!!

Welcome! What part of FL are you in ? I’m about 50 miles north of Tampa.
There is a club in the Tampa Bay Area that meets in St. Petersburg once a month.
Hi Jeff
I still live in Miami, but little by little I’m thinking about moving up North; life here has become absolute madness, everyone wants to move to Miami! Hahaha. The city is already getting completely saturated. I’m glad to know there are fellow enthusiasts around here who share the same hobby. We’ll definitely stay in touch; I actually have an Airbnb near Crystal River.
Cheers
Jack

Hello Jack and welcome aboard. I started out in Miami 1960 and have worked my way up to Tallahassee. I worked at the power plant north of Crystal River for two years.

I live just south of Crystal River. My wife and I go there to eat often.

Welcome to SoS!!! I thought everyone was now looking at SW Florida. Based on the traffic increase and thousands of new homes going up in the past 10 years it feels like the world is moving over here. Still a great place to live!!!

In 10 years, my friend?
Right here, just a mile from my house in Southwest Miami, they’ve built two condo complexes in less than two years: one consisting of seven five-story buildings, and the other, that’s another seven buildings too, standing five or six stories high. And as if that weren't enough, they’re now constructing, another complex—five more buildings, each seven stories tall. Mind you, we don't even live anywhere near downtown; we’re located exactly three minutes from the westernmost expressway—beyond which lie the Everglades. As for the traffic and the prices... don't even get me started ROTF ROTF ROTF ROTF .

Yep, we're out in Ave Maria and there is a new town going up a few miles west of us with 10,000 homes planned. We used to head into Naples for lunch once a week, but now we go in a few times in the summer when the snowbirds fly north. Crazy times.
