I’ve had a long-standing interest in naval subjects after 30 years in the U.S. Navy, primarily in maritime patrol aviation, with additional time spent aboard ships.
My experience with wooden ship models is limited. I completed Artesania Latina's Bluenose II model kit in 1994, and most of my modeling background comes from plastic kits.
I began Model Shipways' USS Constitution cross-section kit a few years ago but set it aside; I plan to return to it eventually. Currently, I’m building Model Shipways' USF Confederacy kit and making steady progress.
I had started build logs for both projects on Model Ship World. I’ll try to recreate and continue those logs here as I genuinely need the constructive feedback.
