ZHL model the flying dutchman ship model kits

That kit is begging for unimaginable bashing... :D
Yes,Although the players used the same kit package, the outcome may be different, it is time to build your own Dutchman Ship Model.
The kit is designed according to the original designing pictures.
with the help of reasonable designing concept and 3D printing items, it is not very hard for common Customers to handle it, and you can also make some updatings for it if you can, that is a good product for all Customers.

It is the look for real Dutchman stranded at the shallows.
It is the best version of kit for Dutchman till now, the designing group focus on all the details to build the masterpiece.

I don't see much room for bashing. It looks awesome from box. Much more depednds on weathering effects to get algae corruption of the ship.
I hope ZHL will post how they got such effects and how to make such sails

I recently purchased this kit but have not started the build yet.
There are some very excellent YouTube videos about how to achieve the look shown.

I am anxious to get started but I am finishing up the ZHL 1/50 Black Pearl.

This looks very nice. I'm a huge fan of the awesome ghost ship from Pirates of the Caribbean. Where did you get the dimensions of the ship? I've been building my own model but couldn't find any reliable sources as to the ships total length, or better yet, its waterline length .

ZHL Ship model company is a Chinese company and they have a reputation for pirating (no pun intended) and copying other ship model kits . This is a blatant copyright violation. So think twice before pitching one of their kits.

You are free to choose not to purchase this kit, but please don’t lecture to others sir.

I do not remember any kit like this from other manufacturer , Occre used the name but that kit does not look like this not even remotely

Interesting that you mention that they “pirated” the kit.

If you review the information on the kit and know some of its history, you would see that this 2026 version is the final version. They have been working on the design for well over a year using photos from the POC movies and press. They have meticulously and faithfully reproduced the kit from the photos. Since they have manufactured all the parts and built the prototype models it would seem to me that the only thing they have “pirated” here is the idea/concept.

If you consider that other manufacturers of other kits (such as Cutty Sark, Victory, etc) have copied the design to produce there models, I guess that they in a sense have “pirated” their kits also.

As mentioned it is your choice to choose how you spend your money.

typo correction. “pitching” should read “purchasing”
That said, I’m not lecturing anyone, I’m just stating my opinion.
I just feel it’s wrong to support copyright violator's. It hurts legitimate companies that have spent a lot time, money and effort and then have it all stolen from them. Besides being illegal, it’s also morally wrong. .
So if you want to support companies that do that, go ahead, but please try not to be so thin skinned, when someone calls you out for doing it. .
