ZHL model the flying dutchman ship model kits

I do not remember any kit like this from other manufacturer
Interesting that you mention that they “pirated” the kit.
Just to clear the air here because I apparently have some mental issue where I can't stand miscommunication, he didn't mention they pirated this kit.

Here's the exact quote: "...they have a reputation for pirating (no pun intended) and copying other ship model kits..."

I think the bottom line here is that each modeler decides based on his own opinion and or morals how to spend his money and what ship Models he wants in his collection.
You are absolutely correct. And not to speak for Barry, but I never saw him try to tell anyone what they can or cannot buy. The most his words say is simply an informative post so others have the information to make an informed decision on what they want and do not want to buy.

ZHL Ship model company is a Chinese company and they have a reputation for pirating (no pun intended) and copying other ship model kits . This is a blatant copyright violation. So think twice before pitching one of their kits.
Barry, I'd kindly ask that discussions regarding companies you consider to be engaging in questionable or unethical practices be taken to another forum/s. This is not the right space for that type of conversation, and frankly, matters of this nature are best left in the hands of legal professionals who are equipped to assess and address them properly. Let's keep our discussions here focused and constructive. Thank you for understanding.

@mberg This really isn't the right place for accusations or debates about companies and alleged pirating, and I'd kindly ask that you please stop steering conversations in that direction. These are sensitive matters that go well beyond what this forum is meant for.

If this continues and our forum rules are not respected, we'll have no choice but to step in and take appropriate action.

The first draft of 3d designing picuture of Dutchmen ship model, and the final version of it after many times updates.
Finally, we reach to the conclusion that we can only use the 3d printed material for the carving part, as other materails are not possible to produce, store or transport. Another advantage is that the 3D print materials match with the assembling process better than others to take on a vivid look of the whole model.
The design of the carvings was created in collaboration with China's top animation company. Every modification and finalization requires my rigorous review and personal approval to pass.

We can provide a 2D designing picture and ensure the structure of the hull is correct. As for the carving parts and decoration on the external surface of the hull, we have gone through so much difficulty to achieve those with hunders times of trials and sampling,
Except for that, we also carry out a careful study on the movie and any related pictures we can collect to improve the details of the carving parts and hull structure.
