I am looking for info on how to get plans for the Bluenose 1:48 by P.F. Eisnor. I have the kit plans from Artesania Latina but that's not what I want. There is a practicum posted by Gene Bodnar that I plan on using in conjunction with my 1st scratch build. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Allen. You can find them here:

Perhaps a good idea to start a build-log. Then you can asked all your related questions in there.
In the 1st post of the thread in the next hyperlink you will find a list of build-log from several manufacturers: —>

Thank you Peter. I appreciate all your help. As soon as I get the plans, I will start my build log.

I did get the site up but have not ordered the plans as yet as I am in the middle of moving. I have to take a hiatus with ship modeling until I get the move completed. Moving from here in middle Georgia to Palm Coast FL. Should be able to get back to my ship modeling in early November.

I hope you can get the plans. If they are as good as the Columbia plans I got from them about 15 years ago you will be happy. Actually, as Bluenose has been done so many time by others, Columbia might be a good alternative for you. While not Canadian, you might also find the American Schooners book by Chapelle very useful. It includes three pages with all the block sizes, types and locations for several schooners, including Columbia. Feel free to PM me about the plans for Columbia.

Another beautiful schooner is the Effie M. Morrisey (renamed Ernestina) for which there are free plans and photographs on the Library of Congress website.
https://www.loc.gov/pictures/search/?q=Ernestina&sp=1 There are 76 pages of photos and plans of her at this link. I also drafted all the frames and can send these to you if you want to build her instead.

They are nice plans. But.. Winston is not answering his emails and he coordinates with the Elsinor family..
Try sending an email to him from the MSB web site
