I am currently building the Artesania Latina 1:50 scale HMS Supply. After planking the deck the instruction videos suggest installing the Artesania Latina lighting kit No. 2790. This kit comes with two different battery types. A holder for 2xAAA batteries and another for a 3032 3V battery with built in on/off switch. Which one should I use? It also includes two packs of LEDs, a 4 pack and a 10 pack. I would like the lighting to have the flickering candle effect do both these packs of LEDs have that?20260719_093812.jpg20260719_094306.jpg20260719_095853.jpg

The video on their web site shows there are several of the "candel effect" LEDs with the set and there are some regular ones also.
As far as which battery to use depends on how much you want to have it on and where you can "hide" the batteries. The holder with a pair of AAA batteries will last a lot longer than the 3032 flat disk battery. But the 3032 will be easier to hide in the kit. :) That is a choice you will need to make. keep in mind that with either one, you will need to change the batteries out.

I hope that helps. :)

Thank you Corsair,
I think I will go with the AAA batteries as there is room below deck for placing the holder. I am not sure which LEDs have the candle effect. I am guessing that they are in the smaller 4 pack so I will try those.
Cheers,
Furry

I think it was like 4 regular ones and about 7 of the flame style. Anyway, you can just touch them to the wires before you solder them to test them prior to making them Permanent. :) The other thing you could do would be to get one of the 3032 batteries and put it in the holder for testing the LEDs but install the AAA holder in the model.
