Hi everyone! Here's a quick update on the second gun deck.


This layer includes a key detail I missed on the first deck: the middle section isn't flat—it has a curve. I'll go back and add this curve to the first gun deck later.


For the deck planking, I'm planning to use CNC machining to get that curve right. It's really difficult to hand-sand a perfectly symmetrical and accurate curved surface. For now, I'm focusing on getting the basic structure drawn out, and I'll add the surface details later.

Hey everyone, here's the latest update. The line drawings for all three gun decks are now complete. To be honest, the amount of work involved was well over twice what I had anticipated. I've also identified a few details in the earlier two deck designs that require correction, so there'll be some revisions down the line. Progress has been slower than planned, but the gun deck portion — the real heavy lifting — is finally done

Hello everyone, this update covers the basic structure of the lower deck beneath the poop. During the restoration of this deck, I discovered a fairly serious error in the restoration designs of the previous few decks. I'll explain the specific cause and correction plan in detail in post #1 below.

As shown in the diagram, I previously used red vertical lines to separate the main and secondary beams. This has now been corrected: the cut lines should be perpendicular to the deck surface. I'll post diagrams in a future update to illustrate the correction.

A few days since the last update — finally got one out today. This time I mainly revised the poop deck upper deck, poop deck lower deck, and all three gun decks. Honestly, going back to fix your own past mistakes is the most painful part of the whole process, but for the sake of accuracy I'll keep at it. Just dropping a few overview shots today — detailed photos coming tomorrow. Why the rush? Uh… drinks with friends, already late, gotta run
