Hi. No I have not done anymore to the SOTS. I plan to complete the SAN Felipe before I go back to the SOTS.

I don’t recall having any issues with the placement of the cannons.
 
My SOT build is still on hold. I’m working on completing a 1:50 scale SAN Felipe so I have room to continue the Sovereign of the Seas build.

I am on the rigging stage on the SAN Felipe.
 
Working on my Sovereign of the seas as I’m almost completing another ship build.

Some of the decorations I was not happy with. So I have 3d printed using my resin printer some of the gold statues.

Like this one in the front with the horse and I am also going to replace the decorations on the stern

did you design the figurehead yourself. Wow! I was playing around with a 3d scanner and I don't think the final images were as clean as yours.

Those figurehead details are really well done! I don't have the 3D printing capabilities, so I just did it the good old way, by carving. Definitely not as many details as on yours, and the sword had not been added yet at that time.

And I left all the carved decorations on my SoS in plain timber, not gold-painted. I would do it differently today (black+ gold paint)

I look forward to seeing how those beautiful figures turn out on the stern transom; a great choice, they’re the figures by SeasModel Gustav. They are highly detailed, did you print them on your own 3D printer? Which model do you have?
