Ready for putty and sanding.

The Heinkel He 112 was the runner up to the Me109 and did not get the military contract, so only around 100 were made.

Thank you. I obviously do both wood and plastic, but plastic was my first model experience. And I love airplanes.

Quick update…really excited about this camo scheme…so thought I would give a sneak peek. I have not put on the clear yet, which will make the decals look painted on.


This could easily become one of my favs.
Next will be landing gear, doors, exhaust, and prop. She will be finished soon!

Got the clear and exhaust on…done for the day. Hope to finish tomorrow or Saturday.

Finished with the Heinkel He 112
The RS models kit was fairly basic, the instructions were vague, and the sprues had no numbers. So probably experience needed on this kit. Other than that I think it’s a good representation.


On the shelf…


I placed it next to a Me109 for reference.
Note the Heinkel has elliptical wings like a Spitfire.

My 1/72 scale aviation museum is steadily growing. At 97 aircraft…


My current list…

Qty in yellow is built
qty in white is still in box
Totals at the bottom of each category.
total of all aircraft is at bottom right.
They are color coded by country of origin.

So as it stands, I still have 13 for WW2 in boxes, 10 for WW1, and 22 for jets. So a total of 45 kits to build. Thats would be 142 aircraft.
I am sure I will add some more, as I don’t have many bombers or larger aircraft. I also have very little civilian aircraft. So who knows. Right now I am trying to build what I have before buying any more. But I have to say, searching and buying the kits is fun too.

Now to decide what to build next. Which category? What aircraft? See you when I figure it out.

Number 98 will be an A-4E Skyhawk…

I think 99 will be a F-20 Tigershark…and we know the 100th will be a P-38 named after my mom. So onward we go…
