Blocks

Thanks for the hint and link. Seems there are located in Tschech Republik. The form, size looks realy good, only the grain is looking in the enlarged photo to strong, but I guess in real size looking much better

Its my hope to be able to make blocks with the new CNC router I am gathering materials for the Constellation scratch build Id like to make real working Blocks for the build so it will have working pulleys installed in them. Not that anyone would really know if they were actually able to work, but I will know and its what I want on that build so its got to happen.
I have a few ideas on how to do it but I'm sure I'll have problems to figure out along the way

yep I have seen those and a few others, but I want to make all the parts I can for the build. I want everything to look as it does on the real ship figure it will take me a long time to build that vessel but when its done it will be worth the effort. I've spent months collecting pictures of that ship and taking pics myself of every detail I can. Wont be easy and some details will be lost in the scale but I'll make everything as close to real as I can get it.

I guess I would stain them to a darker brown and the grains would not be visible.

I may have to join forces with Mr. Dave at the lumberyard and add them to sponsored kits free of charge. I want to help out in that respect as a sponsor once I get everything going here. I will be able to make cannons, Hopefully Blocks, some laser and Router cut parts and carvings as well as some 3D printed stuff which once smoothed and painted no one will know its plastic.

That is SUPER GREAT, Dave is a JOY TO WORK WITH, and has tons of KNOWLEGE not only on the builds but the BUISNESS end of the hobby, he knows very well, looking foreward to some purchases especiall the carvings, decorations etc. Don
