HMS ALERT 1777 Trident model by QiGang

Qi Gang is a ship model enthusiast who was commissioned by us to test. The version he tested is the official version, basically with KIT. He may add some details that he likes, I will point out in particular. In our five stages, we commissioned five enthusiasts to test and show you the two most representative systems.

You may suggest both Qi Gang and Hongbin become members of our forum! They can open their independent build logs. The more Alert build logs- the better!

A very good suggestion. I will invite them for the first time. Thank you for your proposal. :p

I take this further, you can invite all the Chinese builders whatever they build ,with google translator easy to write up a log. ;):D

Very interesting photos - hope to see much more of the model and the work by the modeler.
A very good step, that you "test" and pre-assemble the kit by different modelers.

I have one question to the shown frames:

When we look at them we can see some parallel "stripes". -> Is this the grain of the timber?
Or what I guess, are these the marks of the cnc-cut, or? - so after final sanding they will disappear - Am I correct?

Side grain is produced by a special tool, about 0.15mm, which can be easily removed.
