Over the years I was using my Proxxon DSH - a good machine, but I was not 100% happy with it.
Today I got my new Hegner delivered and I wanted to share with you "Out of the Box"

Hegner Multicut SE - Scrollsaw Variable Speed
The HEGNER Multicut SEV Variable Speed has all the features of the Multicut 2SV but is fitted with a 460mm throat and a 435 x 230mm Cast Iron rectangular table dual tilt (45º to the left 12º right) which is Precision Ground. Self contained dust extraction ducting or sawdust blower, under table guard, adjustable stroke length (long and short) and quick tension release. Weight 25Kg.

I ordered the saw, and in addition the Hegner machine table, the foot switch, the hold down arm and a "magnetic" lamp

One of the perfect toys for a Man. I am sure German engineering makes this tool (oh..sorry) this toy very precision. Will wait for your next post: the toy in action, or how we say in the US - the test drive. ;)

Uwek,
Wax that cast iron table with silicone-free car wax so it does not start getting rust...
Before waxing polish the surface with #000 steel wool.
The slicker the surface, the better feel when cutting intricate parts.

You can also make another insert to the cutting table out of brass or steel so that it has only a minimum slot to clear the blade. So your tiny parts stay on the table and doesn't fall thru and get lost / into the dust collector.

Hi Uwe, I have mine already for over 25 years. Love it, very precise and robust.
This was also my idea to use a bigger Hegner and not any more the Proxxon - it will be my last Scroll Saw - so she should live longer than me ;)
