I am a retired master mariner, and lived in China for 16 years, therefore my chinese nickname. At that time I build the HMS Agamemnon from Caldercraft.
In China I worked as a supervisor at different shipyards for newbuidings. There I received a gift from one shipyard, it was the Royal Yacht HMS Caroline 1:30 boxwood edition from ZHL.
I took the kit (3 boxes) with me, when I moved back to Germany. Now the kit is waiting to be started, no place at the moment.

Best regards

Hallo Wolfgang,
I am very happy, that you found the way to our forum - a warm welcome here on board of our forum.
As you know maybe we have here already some building logs of the 1:30 Royal Caroline, so they might be of some help.
Would be great if you would start also a log, when ever you start the kit
I have also the kit of the Agamemnon, but did not start her until now.
I made once a kit review of the kit
so maybe you could once write there something about your experience with the kit.......BTW: a very good model shown in your video Thumbs-Up

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome.
@UweK
Generally the quality of the Agamemnon kit was ok. Only there was one big part wrong. It was the maindeck from the HMS Victory. It was impossible to get replacement in China. So I had to adjust the deck, which was not so easy.

And? Still working on the Agamemnon or already on the Royal Caroline?

Ling:
Welcome to our forum.
I think that your
and experience might be useful to many of us.
The Royal Caroline is a gorgeous decorated vessel and one that I will follow as soon as you start your build.

Thanks for the birthday wishes.
@Uwek
I finished the Agamemnon 5 years ago, but left her in China when I moved to Germany. The transport would have been too difficult.
I started now with the Royal Caroline. But when I look at the build log from Maarten, I cannot reach his excellent work.
