current build images Your actual Ship Modeling Project - briefly introduced at a glance -> present it here

Most of the internal framing and treenails have been delt with. No more planking will be added. This is pretty much how she'll look on the exterior, once completed, with exception to a 'rub-rail' and a few other minor, external accoutrement's that have yet to be installed.

What a beautiful sidewheeler! She's a big one as well! Will you be installing RC gear for a trip out to the pond?
She is big.
I want to say around 5 feet long or so.
Non working model though.
She’ll be a shelf model.

Hi all,

Here are some in-progress pictures of my Occre HMS Beagle. I've 3D printed some figures in resin to try and add some character/story to the model. I think they look like sailors, but my wife insists they look more like Elvis ROTF

I'm currently mulling over whether I should add the sails or not. I'm not sure the kit provided sails are in scale, they look a bit thick to me. If anyone has any advice or tips on how to improve the sails I'm all ears :)

Mark

No idea why this posted upside down. The original is correct on my phone. IAMI 1/200 United States Coast Guard Cutter Eagle. Info on this model is almost impossible to find. It is not even listed in their catalogs.
It’s a first for me and a real learning experience on the rigging.

Finally started preliminary construction of the open hangar bays for the Academy 1/350 Perry Class Frigate. I'm building the long hull version as USS Simpson circa 1988. I usually build aircraft and have wondered why ship kits usually don't have interior detail in places like hangars and bridges. Yes the parts are small, but they do it on aircraft why not ships? Anyway, I decided I'd have a go at scratch building the interiors. Stay tuned - more to come.Hangar walls and ducts.jpgHangar Bay deck and port outer wall.jpg

my OBBs(Old Battleships) using Revell's 1/429 scale model of the USS Arizona as a basis to make all the ships from the Wyoming class to the Colorado class during WW2 plus 1 extra as a missile gunnery training ship post WW2.
