I am working in moment on a section model of the USS Bonhomme Richard (1779) in scale 1:48 - based on an Unicorn kit, bashed to get closer to the Boudriot monograph

Most of the internal framing and treenails have been delt with. No more planking will be added. This is pretty much how she'll look on the exterior, once completed, with exception to a 'rub-rail' and a few other minor, external accoutrement's that have yet to be installed.

She is big.
I want to say around 5 feet long or so.
Non working model though.
She’ll be a shelf model.

Hi all,

Here are some in-progress pictures of my Occre HMS Beagle. I've 3D printed some figures in resin to try and add some character/story to the model. I think they look like sailors, but my wife insists they look more like Elvis

I'm currently mulling over whether I should add the sails or not. I'm not sure the kit provided sails are in scale, they look a bit thick to me. If anyone has any advice or tips on how to improve the sails I'm all ears
