Couple quick pics and some information. The rope coming down from the main mast lantern is a thin 2 wire twist that was painted to match the running rigging.
Under the aft hatch is an accessible area to hookup alligator clips to check all the lights.
When the ship is finished and in its final display case, the battery holder for the lighting will be mounted out of sight under the display case. No wires will be showing whatsoever.

Simple but effective. Don't have to deal with loose and eye-sore wiring.

I will be moving on to making the Burton Pendants for the Main & Fore Mast and then commencing onwards to the shrouds & ratlines. Once I get all the shrouds & ratlines and the Catharpins completed, I will be coming back to to finish some deck details--such as the swivel guns, anchors, Fish Davit, ect..
At that point, I will build the ships Launch and an additional Jolly boat and install them.
