118 Gun French three-decker - Le Commerce de Marseille / L'Ocean - scale 1:72

Hello
I took a little break from this project. As I was still unhappy with decisions I made at start of this build. I decided to do a big re-do, strpped all painted planks and deiced to use only oils and natural wood. Pearwood and maple will be main sources of color. The planks below waterline are untoutched as they will(probably some time in the futureROTF) covered with copper plates

Nice. More reasons to cut off finger on a saw. I don't prefer colored wood, just entering the stage of grandfather shellac...

It's good that when making a ship with shellac coating planks cut and pile up by them self or I'm just getting old and don't get all of sarcasmROTF

Yes, it's a bold decision, but it's a shame about all the work that's been done so far. Putting things off until “someday” often ends up meaning “never.” Let's hope you get the result you want...
