Thank you Uwek... had looked at it, but no ranges for 12lb and 6lb guns of the 18th century.

I assume.... the effective range should have been 600 to 800m for the 12lb and 400 to 600m for the 6lb.

Appreciated any help.

a google search shows the 12 pound at 900 meters effective range and 1800 meters maximum range
