This is my scratch built 18th century battle station in 1/24 scale. I love working in the larger scales! The bulwark planking and gun carriage are blood wood, the hull planking is boxwood. The wales, rails and hatch coamings are rosewood and the deck is maple. The binnacle is made of cherry.

I love this model. Painting with wood. The binnacle looks like a nice piece of furniture.. in 1:24 scale!!

Great looking model Dave, especially the beautiful contrasting woods. I think you should build a HMY Fubbs in 1/24 scale. Now that would really be awesome, 44" long too!

Take care,

Bob

I just stumbled across this build. Great job and a lot detail.. More stuff to think about for my build. Now that I'm working at home for now, I should have some time.
