1st century Kinneret boat 1:20

Love seeing such an unusual subject and beautifully built model. Do you know how these Galilee boats were steered? I am guessing they used a steering oar or some side device as there is no rudder at the stern.

Hey Allan, Thank you. It should have had quarter rudders both sides of the stern. Because of the sea, they would have been inside it. I made the hull for my grandkids but it didn’t appeal to them. It had no rigging. Recently, I refinished it and rigged it for someone that could display it. So to add them I would have had to modify the sea:-) Here’s what it looked like at first.
